I am in a bit of a rut lately where I really don't feel like working out. But I have to.

So today, I decided to make it fun. And realizing how many calories I burned while doing it, on those days I decide that elliptical or shred isn't for me...I'm SO going to do this.

I'd mentioned it awhile back but kept forgetting to just go for it.

So I danced today. I put on my tunes. (5 songs today - YMCA, Rumors, Dirrty, Womanizer, and Gimme, Gimme, Gimme). I danced up a storm. I checked my HR several times, average was 165-170. I burned just over 300 calories. Checked it on the website with an avg rate of 165 and also came at 307. It was awesome. It didn't feel like working out. I punched the air, I did like, 150 jumping jacks, I did the jumprope exercise, I shook my ass and flexed my abs and just went nuts. It wasn't pretty! But I felt SO great :)

So yay for 300 calories burned when I didn't want to work out in the first place!

Oh. And Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, by ABBA but the version from the movie Mamma Mia! is my new favorite workout song.

Hehe, I did the same thing! Kind of a mish-mash of a workout.. part treadmill, part dancing, part jumping jacks/jump rope, part shadowboxing.
As long as you're moving, it's good! :-)
